A Bluestocking's First Blog

I thought we could create a 21st century women's gathering place... a place to share a variety of artistic and literary interests. You might notice the hyperlink to Bas Bleu Theatre, which is in no way connected to this blog other than by my admiration of their work. You'll also find a link to a superb East Coast artist whose works I both own and admire. Soon I hope to add the literary works of a budding Bluestocking and an experienced iconographer to our club.

I appreciate any recommendations from you, dear Reader, regarding any aspect of our social group. Please comment, advise, and opine to your heart's content.

I loved Eats Shoots and Leaves and the Calvino books I've read. I'm eager to read others on your list.

Hi! You should go back and reread The Rule Of Four, because it has macronic verse mentioned in it. I recommend it highly.

Thomas Merton and his friends experimented with macaronic verse when they were at Columbia University. This site will be a wonderful source for exchange of ideas.
